I presented work in progress: Calais 'Anti Migrant' Wall 2017, at the conference Askance?Oblique: 31st March 2017 at Sheffield Hallam University.
Current doctoral research examines the ethics and politics of looking considered through art practice and surveillance. Work in progress stems from observation of the Investigatory Powers Act passing through Parliament. This work is informed by Solzhenitsyn's The First Circle combined with narrative account. The evolving new digital short combines footage of the new ‘anti-migrant’ wall at Calais with readings from Orwell’s 1984.
